Testing an Alarm System

Ideally, you already have an automatic test programmed into your system. There are two ways you can test your system, First is to contact your monitoring station and inform them about your intension to test your system. They will guide you what needs to be done.

Second method is do by yourself, for this y, first you need to arm your alarm system and wait to finish the delay time. Once the system is activated ,try to trigger an alarm signal by opening a door or window and wait to get a call from central station. You have to wait to finish the delay time and about 10 seconds to one minute of siren. You must receive a call from the monitoring station by now to verify this alarm activity. If you didn’t receive call from the monitoring station please call back to the monitoring station ask about the test and why they didn’t respond the alarm activity. If they haven’t received signal from your location then there is something wrong with your system and it needs to be addressed.
